Haerim Lee Artist Profile

Artist Rim Lee (Haerim Lee) is a Chicago based artist. In 2017, she graduated with Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing Department from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

She had a solo show at gallery noone (2017) and Kasia Kay Art Project (2012) in Chicago and Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art (2012) in S.Korea. She participated in group shows including The Body (2010) as a part of the Chicago Humanities Festival, Korean Eye: Fantastic Ordinary (2010) at the Saatchi Gallery in London, Creature Comfort (2015) , and To Listen. To Speak. To Act.(2017) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She participated in the Youngeun Residency Program in South Korea and Space Can PSB in China. She was awarded Nancy Crouch Scholarship and Ox-bow Neiman Scholarship. Her work is in collections such as the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection in the School of Art Institute of Chicago, Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art, Standard Chartered Bank in S.Korea and the US. She is currently Hatch Project Residency artist at Chicago Artist Coalition.
